Arches National Park

The second half of our group arrived last night. We all got together in the parking lot at 8:00am for our group picture and then we left on an excellent ride through The Arches National Park.

The weather was clear, the temperature was perfect but the wind started out at 15 mph and got stronger all day. I think we had gusts well above 30 mph. It seemed like the wind was in are faces all the time.

We met for lunch at the trail head parking for the Delicate Arches. The ladies that weren’t riding had gotten there before us and had set up lunch for us. After we ate we left on a hike up and over some interesting terrain to the Arches. The 6 mile hike was worth the effort even if the winds nearly blew some of us off the trail.

The views along the ride were fantastic. If the rest of the trip is like the first day we may have trouble downloading all the pictures. We tried to select a few of our many pictures to give you a sense of what we saw. I hope you enjoy.

I’m not sure why but these post are dated one day before I actually posted them.
