Tropic – Bryce Canyon National Park – Tropic

We left Tropic this morning just as the sun was starting to warm the chilly mountain air. Bryce Canyon is 10 miles west and 2000 feet above our start.

Yesterday as we rode into Tropic, we noticed a large fire west of town. Today we rode next to where the fire was as we approached the park entrance. It was a controlled burn and there was still a lot of smoke. Fortunately the winds were out of the west and most of the smoke was blowing away from the park.

I’m not sure how each park seems to have more spectacular views than the parks before. Maybe that was Vern’s plan all the time. I could have included 10 times the pictures I’m posting today. I’m not sure how the next few days will compare.
